In the intensive work (1997-2000), which I dedicated to the Afghan women, I used collages as well as printing techniques (monotypes etc.) to illustrate women in their veils. Now I am, more and more, illustrating people.

I am fascinated by people. Earlier I never wanted to paint or illustrate human beings. Abstract painting was mainly what I was interested in previously. Now I have begun to observe people. I take photographs  of groups of people or make drawings of them. Later, in my studio, I paint the scenes.

All these new works are oil on paper.
